Q: What do you need to make a quotation for moulds?
  • A: To make a quotation, which will be adequate and sufficiently competitive, We need 3 things as follows:
    1:Product Drawing or 3D Model Data File or Product Sample, if none of these are available, we need at least an ordinary sketch with the most critical dimensions and difficult shape of the product on it.
    2:What kind of plastic resin you are going to use in manufacturing or an idea of durability of the product(what the product is or does).
    3:Estimated quantity of the product needed in a period of time(i.e. one month or one year) and how many products in total youare going to make.
    After receiving the above necessary information, we will make a best suitable quotation for the moulds within 2 working days.
Q: Do you sign NON-DISCLOSE agreement?
  • A: Yes, We fully understand the innovation of your design. It is our policy to Comply with customer¡¯s requests of non-disclose agreements. If we don¡¯t get your permision, we would never disclose any information of your products or company to the third party and any copy would bedefinitely prohibited.
Q: What type of drawing files can you accept?
  • A: In our design department, we use professional software such as Pro-Engineer, SolidWorks, Unigraphics, IDEAS, CATIA and so on. Customer can provide the 2D or 3D drawings in DXF, DWG, PRT, SAT,IGES,STEP format etc, and our engineers will offer the mould layout for Customers¡¯further discussion within the short time.
Q: Do you build Hot Runner Moulds?
  • A: Yes, Generally speaking, 30% of the mouls we make were hot runner Moulds. We built hot runner moulds and familiar with many different hot Runner systems, such as

    The hot runner accessories for your mould will be carefully selected to meet your needs.
Q: Have you ever made Prototype or Overmould?
  • A: Yes, We have provided diversity moulds like home application for Prototype in several weeks, and Power tool for Overmould.
Q: How will you send out samples to us?
  • A: By DHL or TNT or other Express Services. Normally the quotation we submit to you include the cost of sample delivery for T1 samples. And
    We follow customer¡¯s instructions to send out sampes to its consignee.
Q: Is it possible without a visit in your cmpany to know whether my mould
is built on Schedule?
  • A: Yes, Surely. At the beginning of the mould project, we will give a detailed Mould-building Schedule to customer, after, every Monday, We will send Weekly Report and Digital Photos that show the progress of the work.
Q: How long does it take to build an injection mould?
  • A: It varies a little depending on product size and complexity of its shape,
    Generally a middle size moulds are built in 30-35 days leadtime.
Q: How did you pack up and ship the mould?
  • A: When the mould have been finalized, rust resistent ointment will be paint onto the surfaces, pack the mould with PVC bags, then load it into Iron Box. All the necessary accessories and CD with important information will be provided according to the Pack List confirmed by our customer.
Q: What is the life expectancy of moulds?
  • A: Mould life depends the most on the kind of tooling steel used, and the Precision of mould manufacturing,and mould maintance quality during production. As customer always has different requirements on mould life, XG-PM Normally choose diferent mould solution for our customer based on best Cost-Performance-Ratio, please see the following:
    ¡ñ First Situation: if mould life is required above 1 million shots,The main points of the mould will be built as follows:
    1:Supply complete Mould Design in details;
    2:A&B Plates of mouldbase will be hardness HB280 minimum, Steel usually is D-M-E #Z or P20);
    3:The hardness for Core&Cavity will be HRC48~52 after heating treatment, other moving components will be higher hardness after quenching treatment;
    4:Very good cycle cooling system will be built for the cavity side, Core side and big sliders etc. Stainless stopper is used in cooling line;
    5:Choose strong guide pillar in ejection plate or Ball Guide Bush;
    6:There is precision locating for the mouldbase;
    7:Customer¡¯s specifial requirements are respected firstly.
    ¡ñ Second Situation: if mould life is required above 500 thousand shots,The main points of the mould will be built as follows:
    1:Supply complete Mould Design in details;
    2:The hardness for Core&Cavity will be HRC48~52 after heating treatment, other moving components will be higher hardness after quenching treatment;
    3:The hardness for A&B Plates of mouldbase will be around HB220;
    4:Very good cycle cooling system will be built for the cavity side, Core side and big sliders etc. Stainless stopper is used in cooling line;
    5:Choose common guide pillar in ejection plate;
    6:There is precision locating for the mouldbase;
    7:Customer¡¯s specifial requirements are respected firstly.
    ¡ñ Third Situation: if mould life is required below 100 thousand shots,Or much less shots:
    The better proposal is that Customer just need to buy the products, No need to spend so much money for the mould. For small quantity,XG-PM specially supply good quality of injection moulding productionin the condition that the mould hasn¡¯t have long mould life.So for this situation, the Customer just need spend much less money for mould, and get low price of products from us, Why not?
Q: How can I get after-Sales Service from XG-PM ?
  • A: If there is a problem that has to be serviced under the warranty obligation,A change has to be done to the mould on customer¡¯s request. The necessary preparations are done in our factory. And we will offer all The Electrodes and one set of spare parts for free.
Q: What kinds of Payment conditions do you accept?
  • A: Usually we accept standard payment conditions-that is: 40% of total Prices down payment by wire transfer, 30% on mould first trial(test)And 30% on mould delivery. Particularly in case of bigger contracts, The preferable forms of payment are wire transfer and Letters of Credit In sight, We often use a combination of these.
